PRODUCTS

Traded Chemicals

Sulfo Surfactants purchase commodity chemicals in bulk for use in their own in house manufacturing  processes, and can be offered to customers at competitive prices in smaller pack sizes and bulk.

Speciality Surfactants

Sulphated Oils:

These anionic surfactants have widespread use as dispersants, emulsifiers, lubricant additive and low foam wetting agents in many areas.

Fatty Acid Soaps:

Sulfo Surfactants Ltd offer a wide range of liquid soaps derived from fatty acids. These can be used as a component in liquid detergents, cleaner concentrates, lubricants, foaming agents and emulsions.

Sulphosuccinates based on Anionic Surfactants:

Sulfo Surfactants Ltd manufacture DOSS Sulphosuccinates dissolved in a number of different carrier liquids.

Services

Toll Manufacturing

Our bespoke, tailored manufacturing plant is capable of manufacturing a wide range of products from cold blended to pressure vessel reactions.

Sulfo manufacture in line with all legislative requirements, utilizing our Effluent Treatment plant, fume scrubbers, fume Gas Monitoring & regular plant safety inspections, thus reducing our environmental impact & minimizing waste.

Sulfo even re-purpose cooling water to use for washing down our facility!

Manufacturing is possible from 200kg to 16 tonne batches in our mixers depending on products, send in your enquiry to our sales team to find out more!

CONTRACT FILLING

Sulfo are able to repack your product from bulk into a wide variety of packaging.
Recent projects involved filling 5 litre kegs from IBC’s in line with customer’s guidelines.

CHEMICAL Reactions at Sulfo Surfactants

We currently have several reactors manufactured in 316 Stainless Steel & glass lined, all of which can be heated by Steam, with our 316 pressure vessel reactors also having the option of Hot Oil Heating for further control, up to 260 degrees C!

All our vessels are connected into fume scrubbers & monitored throughout production including data logging & daily weather recording to be inline with all Environmental Requirements.

In addition, we at Sulfo Surfactants Limited can alter, tailor or re-engineer our manufacturing plant to suit a vast range of products & services.

Sulfo’s Engineering Capabilities – Engineering the future

We are currently commissioning a bespoke, cold blending plant to include cooling ability to 2 off 10 tonne 316 Mixers & 2 off 2.5 tonne non-cooling plastic mixers, with completion due towards the end of March 2023!

OUR STORY

We are located in Radcliffe, North Manchester & are a stone’s throw away from the M6, M62 and M60 motorway networks. Our York Street Factory has been a Chemical Manufacturing Facility since 1880!

Sulfo acquired the premises in June 2022 when the existing tenants relocated & we continued with the existing manufacturing set-up, although it required modernising & a vast array of Engineering works were required to bring the site in line with all legislative requirements, this was all undertaken promptly & we continue to develop & install new manufacturing plant & equipment, energy saving upgrades to existing plant & in doing so we are able to produce a range of speciality chemicals tailored to our exact customer requirements.

Sulfo Surfactants multi-purpose plants are designed for the safe manufacturing of phosphate esters, sulphosuccinates, sulphated oils and saponification, we also have a new manufacturing plant we are currently in the final stages of commissioning!
